About the teacher
Hello! I am Mckensie Revels, the Visual Art teacher here at New Prospect Elementary. I am so excited to join such a bright, driven, and student-centered faculty this year in Spartanburg District 1. As a product of the Academic Arts during my K-12 education, I feel no less than empowered by what the arts can do for children. Thus stated, I am devoted to immersing your children in the most comprehensive visual art education he/she can receive all the while fostering an appreciation for what the arts can do for your child's academic career.
For the past four and a half years, I have spent my school days teaching secondary education to students ranging from grades nine through twelve. Prior to teaching, I studied at the University of South Carolina Upstate where I earned my Bachelor of Arts degree in Art Education. I am currently
continuing my studies through USC Upstate in progress towards my Masters degree.
Outside of public education, I am also a mother, wife, and amateur photographer. My husband, son, daughter and I are residents of Spartanburg County. We enjoy traveling, music, and renovating our home.
I am available during school hours by email and by phone after 3:00 p.m. My contact information is available here as well as at the top of the screen! Thanks for stopping in!
